Stara Baska village dates from 14th century and it is situated on the southern part of the island Krk.
Village is 2 kilometers long, with a little harbour nested on its far end, protected from north and south winds.
From as long as anyone can remember this has always been a village of fisherman and sheepherders, while now days the main economy is tourism and hospitality.
Due to its isolation, Stara Baska is not a typical tourist attraction, but a place where you can really relax and enjoy peace and quiet.
Head Chef, Ian Williams and his team of talented chefs work tirelessly to create mouth-watering menus that are English at their core and stay true to location, whilst remaining innovative and modern.
Menus feature fresh local produce from the neighbouring Santorini affectionately known as the market garden of Greece. Fresh herbs are grown in the Manor’s own grounds and, as you would expect in a house of this heritage, there is a magnificent wine cellar.
Village is located underneath the steep rocky hills and therefore there is only one road leading through the village.
